Chinese Consul General Dr. Huang Qinguo visited the Southwest region of WA

From August 4 to 5, 2014, Chinese Consul General Dr. Huang Qinguo and his wife Mrs. Zheng Chuncao visited the Southwest region of Western Australia.

During the visit, Dr. Huang met respectively with Mr. Gary Brennan, Mayor of Bunbury, Mr. Grant Henley, Deputy Mayor of Busselton, and other officials of the region, discussed and exchanged views on how to further strengthen cooperation between China and Australia in the fields of agriculture, tourism, education. Accompanied by Mr. Jim Brosnan, Chairman of the South West Committee of ACBC WA, Ms. Deidre Willmott, CEO of CCI, Dr Huang visited the VUE animation studios and new energy equipment manufacturing company ANSAC, witnessed the signing of agriculture cooperation MOU between V & V Walsh and Chinese company Grand Farm. In Bunbury and Margaret River, Dr. Huang visited a local business invested by Overseas Chinese and had a cordial conversation with representatives of overseas Chinese. During the visit, Consul General Dr. Huang met with Mr. Barry House, President of the Legislative Council of WA, and accepted the interview of local media.

Commercial Consul Mr. Tang Yandi and other consulate staff accompanied the visit.
