Chinese Consul General Li Shugang held a farewell reception in the function hall of Chinese Consulate General in Perth for the outgoing Dean of Consular Corps of WA, Malaysia Consul General Ahmad Jazri on December 4, 2007. The function also marks the commencement of Mr. Li Shugang as the new Dean of Consular Corps of WA. About 60 Consuls from different countries in WA participated the function.

Mr. Li Shugang gave a speech first in which he praised Mr. Ahmad Jazri did a good job and promised that he will take over the position and try his best to fulfill the obligation of the Dean. Mr. Ahmad Jazri and the Vice Dean, Honorary Thailand Consul General WD Jamieson have also made speeches.
