Welcome to the website of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Perth.

The Chinese Consulate General in Perth was established in 1994, our consular district is the State of Western Australia. As Australia's gateway to the Indian Ocean, Western Australia occupies an area of 2.52 million square kilometers, and has a population of 2.66 million. Western Australia is blessed with vast land mass and boasts rich natural resources such as iron ore and LNG, which is well recognized as a key trading state and economic engine of Australia.

China and Western Australia's economies are highly complementary, and China has maintained the biggest trading partner, export market and import source of Western Australia for many years. The prospect for China-WA bilateral cooperation in all fields is promising.

State/province cooperation constitutes an important foundation for China Australia bilateral relations. The Chinese Consulate General is both committed to promoting political, economic and trade, educational cooperation as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Western Australia and to boosting mutual understanding and friendship between our two peoples. The Chinese Consulate General will provide high quality consular services to both Chinese and foreign citizens.
